FAQ's

What does a typical Sunday look like for my child?
NUSERY: Birth – 2 yrs: When your child arrives, they will be checked-in and then head to their assigned classroom. Our dedicated ministry partners will help keep your child engaged with hands-on activities, approved snacks, reading, and play for the duration of service.

PRE-K: When your child arrives, they will be checked-in and then head to their assigned classroom. Kids start out with hands-on play until we kick off our learning with group worship (includes preschoolers and elementary kids) in our elementary room at 10:35 am. Following worship and a group prayer, preschoolers head back to their classroom for a Bible lesson and video, snack-time (mindful of all allergies), and activities/crafts for preschoolers and more hands-on play.

ELEMENTARY K-5TH: When your child arrives, they will be checked-in and then head to their assigned classroom. Kids start out with hands-on play (coloring, games, stacking cups, lego table, and more!) until we kick off our learning with group worship (includes preschoolers and elementary kids) in our elementary room at 10:35 am. Following worship and a group prayer, elementary students will start with a community-building activity that coincides with our learning. Following that, we will have our Bible lesson, reading, reflection, and prayer. Kids will then have a chance to have more hands-on play if time allows.
What is your security and safety like?
Safety and security are a top priority at One Hope and especially for One Hope Kids. We take all necessary measures to ensure we are keeping kids and ministry partners safe.

One Hope has a trained security team and dedicated security team members for our Kid’s floor. Our security team has specific roles and area they are observing and have collaborative relationships with local law enforcement for ongoing training and support.

Upon check-in each week, your family will receive a security tag that you will present to a designated OH Kids leader at the front desk for pick up.

Anyone who serves in our church must go through a screening and training process before joining a team.

All adults 18 and older go through a background check when they apply to serve. Additionally, every two years we run a new background check if someone wishes to continue serving in our church.

Our church follows and adheres to MinistrySafe practices for safety procedures. For more information, click here.
Who will be my child’s teacher?
Our preschool and elementary teachers undergo a training process and serve 1-3 times per month. We have a consistent rotation of teachers in our elementary room and also in our preschool room so your kids will build relationships with the leaders in each room and have familiar faces each month!
What curriculum do you use?
What curriculum do you use? We are currently using Grow Kids curriculum on Sundays.

Kindergarten – 5th Grade | Grow Kids invites kids to engage with interactive videos, high-energy presentations, and allows our teachers to relate each monthly learning unit and big idea to the kids in meaningful, fun, and age-appropriate ways. Grow Curriculum is a comprehensive, annual strategy for ministry that goes beyond just weekly lessons. It focuses on spiritual and holistic growth by providing parent resources for discipleship at home that goes beyond the church walls.

Infants – PreK | Grow Kids also has a comprehensive PRE-K learning curriculum that is made JUST for them and aligns with the same learning that elementary kids are doing next door! Kids engage with interactive activities made just for preschoolers, videos, crafts, and more to promote learning in different ways through movement, sensory, video, activities, play, and group time.

Parents love the Grow Curriculum because it partners with them to build their children's faith at home, offering resources and strategies for spiritual growth that align with what kids are learning in church. Key features include shared themes across age groups, practical family resources, engaging lesson formats, and a comprehensive, year-long strategy that supports both the child's development and the church's ministry goals.
What if my child special needs?
Our ministry partners our trained to work with special needs kids and how to help them when they become overstimulated.

We are currently in the process of building a sensory room for kids with special needs. Stay tuned for more information!
What other programs do you have other than Sunday?
We currently have One Hope Kids Wednesdays for K-5th every Wednesday from 6 – 7:30pm for the 2025/2026 school year! We play games, have snacks, worship, and have a Bible lesson. Email Kristi for more info today.

Serve in OH KIDS!

Be a part of our ministry team that is impacting the next generation to know, love, and follow Jesus!

In each ministry partner role, we collaborate to help kids experience God in age-appropriate ways through group worship, Bible stories, activities, games, and reflections.

We encourage every parent who has kids in our ministry to serve with us at least a few times a year.
